I got back from Brighton where I was visiting relatives a few hours ago.
It was a good trip, drove down with the Mother, took under 4 hours thanks to all the motorway widening work that's finally finished! (Not everywhere though I might add, only on the route we took, past gatwick and heathrow). It was jolly good fun seeing everyone and we played lots of games of articulate in the evenings- which unsuprisingly I won everyime bar once (I use 'won' in a loose term, I was in the winning team).
Thursday once we arrived and unpacked our assorted shit I got the bike out the car and rode off down to the sea front, along the promenade and then dropped down to the lagoon skatepark, which is only a few years old and quite nice and 'new' looking. The quarters and half pipe were nice, as were the flat banks, but the fun box in the middle was atrocious. NO transitions between ramp and flat, just a 45 degree angle from concrete to concrete, which killed all speed and made it a challenge to even b-hop the box. But oh well, it's better than nothing and it's predominantly used by skaters I reckon.
Friday my nanny, mum, and I got the bus into the city centre and met my eldest sister Daisy which was nice! I bought a pretty sick jacket from topman, reduced from £40 to £20, then a further £2 to £10 thanks to my college card discount! Bargain. Then when i was returning a hoody in tkmaxx I thought i'd have a gander at the shoe section and found the dopest pair of adidas's, and as they were £30 i bought them- those at my college will see them shortly.
Saturday, I met up with some other riders who live in the area who i've spoken to on http://www.southerndownhill.com/ and we went riding. First spot we hit was Shoreham, which is a small area with some jumps, nothing special but a good place for a small sesh as there's potential! Then we got the train to Portslade, as there's an 4 pack there, which was better as they had a bit more flow. Jeron had his camera and got a few nice shots of me, cheers mate!

Then today (sunday the 11th) was just spent travelling back, with a bit of a scary moment infact. On the m1, around junction 11-13 there were road works, (yet still 3 lanes of traffic open so we couldn't see what the problem was at first), and due to a bit of rubber-necking/late-braking/carelessness the red car directly infront of us ploughed pretty badly into the jeep infront of them. Luckily, we just about saw it in time and Mum slammed the anchors on and prayed no-one was about to go into the back of us. Luckily, we got away with no injuries or contact with other cars! Scary shit though, just shows how easy it is to go into the back of someone else!
Further up the jam just as the 2 nearside lanes were moving freely, the fast lane (which was segregated as a single lane) was stationary as there was a 4/5 car pile up, as each had rammed into the back of the car infront, not nice at all.
Bizzle.
