Well since i last updated this i've had two bikes i think. I am a bike whore unfortunately. (Both have been ridden then replaced etc etc etc). First was lime green, now this one is baby blue and black, lavly. But, I shan't bore you with bike talk, fear not.
I've been pretty lazy AGAIN with this blog, and a good friend of mine has just set one up and nearly has more posts than me, and I can't have that! (-as mine is about a month older).
The good news is I have a girlfriend, a half greek beauty of a girl called Vava (made famous by Thiery Henry of course), but the bad news is she has gone on holiday to NY, America, from the 20th to the 30th... and i'm working on fucking new years eve. (Sorry for swearing).
Which brings me onto the subject of work- i wish i didn't need money, otherwise i'd pack my job in quicker than you can say 'glass-collector-at-the-swan-pub-working-on-£3.60-and-doing-too-much-work'. I've got to work Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve. Takes the piss, and for no extra pay. BAD TIMES.
Anyway, I'm really tired and I'm bored of typing now so i'll write another one up in the next few days. Stay Sweet.

Wince Pies.
I must confess I have been laaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzyyyyy the past few weeks, as i haven't updated this since the 23rd of november. For that I apologise. That is if anyone actually reads this... Let me know if you do please, show me some love.
So, Christmas is very nearly upon us, and I embraced it fully today by eating a Mince Pie. I have never eaten Mince Pies, as for as long as I can remember I've never eaten dried fruit, so this was a big step for me! As much as I would like to say it, I'm still not a convert to the Mince Pie team, however it did taste ok, although it will take some getting used to. Which is why it's good I have all of the festive season to get used to them.
I was talking to Warren Smith (one of the coolest things to come out of Nottingham since Robin Hood) the other day about my blog, and after me saying I didn't have any mtb news to write about, he suggested I write about anything and everything. So I have decided to do so! This will mean I update it every other day or so, or maybe even everyday if I feel excitable. (However I'm editing what I put and choosing not to put some stories in for fear of my parents and/or a higher authority stumbling accross it. However I will put the good bits in, I promise.
I'm off now, to listen to chilled hip-hop beats. First up is NWA- Express Yourself (Which I listen to far too much- it also talks negatively about weed which is odd for a rap group, but has led to some funny moments in the car when it comes on!). Then I might listen to some Pharcyde. Bis Bald bitches!

Peak Flat.
I really want a new flat peak, yet choosing one is proving to be difficult. When I was in Berlin at my sister's, the New Era Flagship Store was there, and contained about 1000 different hats. However they were a bit on the pricey side so I didn't get one. All the other shops there had new era's in as well, yet I still didn't buy one, as I couldn't find one which made shout such exclaimations of "Mannnn that's so sick", or "This hat is fucking dope". I'm still trying very very hard to find a NKE 6.0 flat peak, which would be sooooo sick if I managed to find one. It's quite sad to say I'd buy it regardless of the price, and possibily even if the design wasn't all that good. But such is the world at the moment that we are bred as brand whores. If I see a rider, wearing a nice t-shirt, even if it isn't especially good, I'll automatically want it... I'm not sure what it is, perhaps it's the feeling of wearing something that a pro has? And perhaps that people might recognise the t-shirt from a vid they've seen on pinkbike? It might also be to boost my ego, and I might have purely bought so people will see it, then in their heads think of the pro they have seen it in, and think to themselves "Wowzers, that boy over there in that sick t-shirt sure must be a mountainbiker, sure must be good, and sure must be cool."
However, that sort of scenario only ever happens in my head... Perhaps it should have even stayed there?
I realise I've said 'perhaps' too many times throughout this post. I have also realised that I went off on a bit of a tangent. Oh well, such is life!

Non bike related (Kebab related).
Seeing as i'm sat at home on a saturday night feeling sorry for myself I though this would be the perfect time to write another post.
Earlier with joe, we drove to a kebab shop next to the talbot inn in mansfield. I got a doner (which after being asked if I wanted "salad or sauce?", and me replying, "all salad please and garlic mayo sauce thanks"), which subsequently came with fuck all salad or sauce. Just shite loads of meat wrapped in a dry pitta. Anyway, got home, felt ill, and threw up. A lot. Gutted! My saturday night ruined thanks to some daft bastard in a kebab shop. Bad times.
I officially didn't catch any joke. Whatsoever.
On a lighter note, it's meant to snow tonight. With any luck it'll snow enough to go boarding. Failing that, hopefully it won't snow at all, meaning I can ride and dig tomorrow. We shall see!

Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the trails?
I was down at my locals both days of the past weekend, and on the sunday Mikey Matthews came down with his camera (and bike naturally).
He got the following snaps of Joseph Kimberley and I.
I'm pretty impressed!

The rebirth of cool
So, this is the first of many many installments on my new blog. If you want to read about my escapades, places i've ridden, parts i've ridden, and my opinions on current affairs (riding and non-riding) then try and keep with me.
I live in the wet-flat-shit midlands, and my locals are sherwood pines (check them out on www.dirtmag.co.uk, on the news feed- i'm keeping them updated) and I've ridden all disciplines of bikes over the last few years. I began racing xc when was very young, then that developed into riding dirt. The followed many dh bikes, before coming back to my current bikes, my 4x bike (dialled holeshot) and dirt bike (Ns suburban).
I'll be keeping you posted with all that happens- I might even tell you what's occuring in my day to day life.
